Whew. This took a long time. Originally I was just going to test out color schemes and such digitally, then color it in real media. Then I realized I'd be insane to do that. ^^* Some 12 hours of digital color later, it's done. Whew. I didn't mind the detail; it was refreshing to do a nice complex piece like this, although I did have to leave it alone for two weeks before I could finish the last of it.
I think the guy (girl?) with the hourglass and the mysterious smile is called the Time Watcher. What the significance of the window is, I really don't know. Maybe we'll find out in another painting. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. Definately one of the best works I've seen on DA so far.
Oh, man. Wow.
I love how it gets bluer towards the bottom and edges, especially with the uneven blending. It's magical.
